Well done Hannah, you are a credit to Abernethy Golf Club!

ELIGIBILITY FOR JUNIORS ENTERING CLUB COMPETITIONS

At a recent committee Meeting the rules for Juniors entering Club competitions have been changed as shown below:

Juniors, male or female, for competition purposes, will be members of the Junior section of the Club. They will be under 18 years of age as at 1st January in the competition year.
They must hold a current CONGU handicap.

With immediate effect Juniors complying with the above criteria may enter all Club competitions ie. All Club Trophies, Medals and Opens

We look forward to playing with you in these competitions if you are eligible but hope that you will continue to compete in all the Junior competitions.

Coaching for young players will continue on Saturday mornings in 2006.

There was a steady improvement in the young players handicaps in 2005 and no doubt the regular training sessions and lots of competitive golf will keep this trend going.

We are pleased to welcome all Junior members who have achieved a full CONGU handicap into our Club Competitions. Please see the details in the panel above. The club committee hopes this will provide an added incentive for young players to work hard on their game.
