Magners Scottish Club Golfers Championship

On 25th August Allan Bantick and Terry Sayer represented the club at the regional qualifying event at Murcar Links, Aberdeen. It was a better-ball format and Allan and Terry combined well to return a score of 70 which was good enough to qualify for the Grand Final to be held at the MacDonald Cardrona Golf and Country Club on 15th September.

The Ladies who played in the morning of the Ladies Open, Sunday 9th July, had by far the best weather conditions. The afternoon round was halted due to the amount of water on the greens. After an hours delay play continued and the competition completed. CSS was 71.

Friday the 30th saw the first Fun!!! 9 Hole Texas Scramble played for some time. We had a great evening weather wise and some very good results. 35 Members from all Club Sections took part and Kevin & Marie laid on a fine buffett on completion. Look forward to the next one!!

The Captain opened the 2006 season with the flag raising in rather damp conditions. However, not long after play got under way the clouds rolled back to give a very pleasant Spring afternoon. On this occasion the Lady Captains Team reversed last years result with a 5 - 0 victory. Congratulations to The Lady Captain. Kevin and Marie laid on a wonderful spread for the teams on their return to the clubhouse.
