Highland Golf at its best

Situated in Nethy Bridge, Abernethy Golf Club is in the heart of the Highlands between Aviemore and Grantown-on-Spey on the B970.

Nethy is a traditional 9 hole Highland course, ideal for starting in golf or for getting a quick golf fix if time is short.

But it's a proper challenge - we are "blessed with three incredibly difficult holes" (Golf Monthly).

We have a full programme of individual and team competitions as well as social golf and active Mens, Seniors, Ladies and Junior Sections.

We offer great value golf with an wide range of membership benefits.  All welcome, whether you are beginner trying golf for the first time, or an experienced player.

Visitors Welcome

We love to show off our course to visitors.  9 or 18 hole golf, it's up to you.  Walk on's are welcome and tee times are normally available - see the tee sheet to check availability or contact us direct. Groups and Societies are welcome, pre-booking essential.

Course webcam

Admire the view down our 1st fairway and check of status of the course before you travel.  If the course is closed, a sign will be shown.

We have a wide variety of Opens in 2025. Something for everyone so we look forward to welcoming you to our beautiful course.

Forest Kitchen and Cafe

We're pleased to welcome the Forest Kitchen and Cafe to our Clubhouse.  The Cafe will be open 10am-4pm with longer hours depending on demand. Catering can be provided for groups - email house@abernethygolfclub.com to arrange your visit.
